Puppy Love Mini Sessions this weekend!

We are excited to announce our first PUPPY LOVE mini-session weekend! Just in time for Valentines Day!

The perfect Valentines gift for your dog loving loved one or the perfect gift for yourself! Come into the studio and we'll capture some sweet images of you and your Puppy Love together... we're happy to take some special portraits of your pup alone too.

Sessions are booked first come, first serve. There are 6 appointments available each day... see times below.

DETAILS

Sessions are no longer than 30 minutes, please arrive no later than 5 minutes before your session time to insure we start on time. We can not make up time on the back end.

Sessions will be held at Heather Bohm-Tallman Photography at 48 Beekman St. in downtown Saratoga.

Each session is limited to families in one household. If you have a large family (more than 5 people) and would like various combos we recommend booking more than one mini-session back to back.

Sessions will be edited and posted online, in your own gallery, by 2/18. You may order prints, canvas gallery wraps, digital files and brag books online or via phone or email.

We enlisted the help of a friend, and her pup, to test out the Puppy Love set up. We'll have a light pink backdrop with hanging hearts and the LOVE chalk board wall as options.
LOVE the fun dress and Tux the pup! I would take him home in a second!

Chowderfest HBT Doggy Booth at DAWGDOM

It's that time of year again! CHOWDERFEST in downtown Saratoga. As always we will have the HBT Doggy Booth at DAWGDOM! Our fave shop for dogs and their people : )

Where: DAWGDOM
When: Sat. 2/4 11am-4pm.

For this years booth we are going with a modern and sweet Valentines Day theme. We will have a few props for your pups to use and goody bags for all participants! There's no cost to have your pup (or even your children ;) photographed in the booth. A portion of the proceeds from print sales will be donated to Rottie Empire Rescue.

Here are two of my dogs Tula and Lucy (who's adopted from RER... though she's not a Rottie: ) testing out the booth. They are modeling a few of our props (handmade by their Grandma!)

You'll notice green grass in this post. This was one of my fave doggy sessions in 2011 and I never got around to blogging it! So I am now!
We went to the beautiful Historic Barns of Nipmoose for Piper & Blakes session. Besides the amazing location we were blessed with some gorgeous skies.... and two awesome pups ( & their people)! Thank you to the wonderful people at he Barns for allowing us to photograph there.

I headed up to VT to photograph this dog family. We had nice pretty snow to work with : ) I loved the location.

I then headed up to the road to photograph these little guys. They were not very excited to be out in the cold so we stayed inside : )

Having the opportunity to photograph a super young pup is a rare treat for me :) This is Enzo! He's an 8 week old Mastiff.

Rena's Fine Flower's family pup Thunder paid us visit : ) He's also a Mastiff, though a different kind. So cute to see the two of them together. Thunder wasn't super thrilled about having to entertain Enzo : )

HBT Doggy Booth

The HBT Doggy Booth will be at two location this week!
First, this Thursday come to the 2nd Annual Lazy Dog Haunted Hound Halloween Costume Party! For more info please click HERE. A portion of the proceeds from print sales from this Doggy Booth will benefit the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society.

Then, this Saturday, as part of the Saratoga Springs Fall Festival, we'll be at DAWGDOM from 11am-4pm. Kids (not just dogs) are also welcome to the booth to show off their costumes!
A portion of the proceeds from print sales will benefit the Saratoga County Animal Shelter.

Hannah & Andrew's wedding was an adventure! We, along with their guest, hiked up to Shelving Rock on the East side of Lake George. It was worth the 45 minute hike, the view was amazing! I also loved that Hannah & Andrew's "son" Bowser was with them on their special day!

On the hike up to the ceremony location. That's Hannah's wedding dress strapped to Andrew's back!

Boudoir (Saratoga Springs, NY photographer)

This session was actually from a year ago... yes, that long ago!!! I had been wanting to do a "grungey boudoir" session... something sexy but darker in feeling. I was looking for the right model and Quinn came to mind... she was perfect! She was a real trooper because it was COLD! Where we were shooting there was no heat. So, thank you Quinn for letting me dress & pose you, for being an awesome model and for not looking cold!!!
A big thank you to Make Me Fabulous for hair and those fantastic smokey eyes!

Ever since seeing Nick Brandt's (who's work is amazing!) work I've been wanting to try something similar. Not quite the same look, but the treatment of the two images below stem from that idea. I will definitely be trying this with my doggy sessions... can't wait.

Just to give you an idea of how cold it was here's my assistant Leah with Quinn. Notice that she not only has her winter jacket on but gloves too!
