Saying goodbye to our Lily

This past Tuesday we had to let our dog Lily go. She had been in kidney failure for sometime now and it had gotten much worse in the last two weeks. Thankfully she was able to have her last moments at home, in her favorite chair, with Chad and I right by her side. She lived a long, happy 14.5 years with us.
I can't even begin to express what she meant to us. Chad and I had been together only about 2 months when he adopted Lily from the SPCA in Ithaca, NY. She was his alone, only for a few hours that day... than she was ours. We fell in love with her (in about a minute!) and each other that year.
I'm not much of a writer so there will be a lot of images in this post... some recent & some old.
We love you Lily girl.

Lily has always been happiest in the water. On Easter Sunday we took her to Moreau Lake one last time. She was moving really slow, but she still made the effort and got in the water. I'm so glad we were able to take her there one last time.

My sweet girl.

One of Lily's favorite spots.

The rest of these images are old scanned prints...
Our wedding day. 7.5.98. We "kind of" eloped. Of course we had Lily & Tanner there.

This is the first time Lily (& I) came to Saratoga. She is so freaken cute!

Lily's about 5-6 months old in these. I love the shot of her running : )

We lived in Salem, MA (very close to the cove) for about 5 years. We loved it there and so did the dogs! Lily swam in the cove almost everyday in the Summer.

We adopted Tanner about a year & a half after Lily. They loved each other! Tanner is actually older than Lily. He's now about 15.5 years old.

Then Taco joined the family. Salem Cove, MA.

I've always loved Lily's big nose : )

This was posted not too long ago but I wanted to post it again. I'm so happy I have this image of Lil with her Daddy.

We miss her so much but we have SO MANY happy memories of her. We're so thankful she was a part of our lives.

Max

Max is one of the most awesome dogs I know. He's one of those dogs that are almost human (in a way). When he sees you, he greets you like an old friend. Plus he's extremely handsome :)

It doesn't get much cuter than this!

Guest Books

Wanted to show two guest books that came in recently. These are a fun way to feature images from your E-Session and they're so much more fun (& meaningful!) than a book of just signatures!
I LOVE them!

For Jessica & David's book we used some really cute embellishments.

Embellishments on the inside...

Full spread with room to write on the wall : )

Nicole & Jeff's book, loving the B&W cover.
