Rainy weddings

There has been a lot of rain this wedding season. I've had 5 weddings where it poured out on the couples big day. I think Alyssa & Lee deserve the "taking it all in stride" award and not letting the weather put a damper on their moods. We actually managed to take all the family formals & some bridal shots before the down pour happened. Just as we were finishing up a thunder storm rolled in and cut the power where their reception was taking place...so their cocktail hour turned into 2 hours and their first dance was delayed till later in the evening. Lucky the venue had large windows so we could all see! Everyone still had a great time!

The rain stopped for enough time for us to run out for a few more shots.

Y....

Stacey & Dan had planned on an outdoor ceremony but it was down pouring when the time came. They too didn't let the rain bother them...they still had a blast.

Stacey looked awesome!

Dan's brother & sister sang "Let me love open the door" (by Pete Townsend) during the ceremony. I though it was great!

I LOVED that Stacey & Dan had a musice themed reception. The tables where named after bands.

This is where Stacey & Dan's ceremony was supposed to take place...once the rain stopped we came out for a few portraits.

Some moody shots:)

Then the sun came out for a time...love playing with flare.
